What is the Qualification Criteria?

Doctors and Scientist 

Doctors and established researchers who get a recommendation from the Emirates Scientists Council qualify for the golden visa. 

  • If you are a scientist, you need to have a PhD or master’s degree in fields of engineering, technology, natural sciences or life sciences from accredited universities in the world.
  • You also should have a recommendation letter that shows you have been awarded a medical certificate from the specific Emirates Council of Scientists. Alternatively, you need a letter from the Secretariat of the Mohammed bin Rashid Medal for Scientific Excellence showing that you have been awarded the Medal of Scientific Excellence.
  • If you are a doctor, you should have an approval letter from the UAE ministry of Health and Prevention which allows you to practice medicine in the country.

Inventors

These are people who invent something new, which can be a device, a machine or even a process. 

To qualify to apply for a golden visa as an inventor you need to have a recommendation letter from the Ministry of Economy. This letter should state that your invention adds value to the UAE economy.

Executive Directors

To get a golden visa as an executive director you must be holding a senior position in a recognized institution and have the relevant academic qualifications.

  • You should have an experience of at least five years in the same role. Get a letter to prove that you have been working in that position.
  • You should have a university degree certificate that is approved by the ministry of education.
  • You need to have a work contract.
  • You should prove that you have been receiving a salary of at least AED 50,000.

Athletes

If you are a talented athlete, you can apply for the golden visa. You should be a top player or outstanding in a certain sport. 

To apply for a golden visa under this category, you will need a recommendation letter from the sports council or the General Sports Authority or any other relevant sports authority.

Specialist in Engineering and Science

If you are an expert in science and engineering in the fields that are mentioned below, you qualify for a golden visa.
