Passengers who are eligible for complimentary COVID19 PCR test on arrival in Dubai.

All travelers flying to Dubai from the GCC countries listed below are not required to take a COVID19 PCR test before departing. They can choose to do it upon arrival at Dubai International airport. Passengers arriving by road via the Hatta border are exempted from this and must take a PCR test within 96 hours before departure.

The test on arrival in Dubai also applies to passengers travelling from

• UK
• Germany

If the traveler prefers to do a PCR test before flying, they are free to take it 96 hours before departure in their country of origin.

• If a PCR test is taken before departure, an official printed certificate in English or Arabic should be shown. Digital and SMS certificates are disregarded.
• If you are having a layover in Dubai airport from the countries mentioned above, you don't have to show a COVID19 PCR test certificate unless it is compulsory by your country of origin or final destination.
• Passengers utilizing the Dubai connect service and booked hotels outside Dubai airport need to present an attested negative COVID19 PCR test certificate which has to be taken within 96 hours before departure.

COVID19 PCR test requirements for Dubai by country

Travelers originating from the below countries and territories need to adhere to these entry rules Algeria, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives Islands, Mauritius, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Somalia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United States

• A valid COVID19 PCR test certificate with a negative result should be shown. The test should be taken within 96 hours before departure.
• The certificate should be for a PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test. Antigen test or home testing kit results are not regarded in Dubai.
• If the test is conducted before departure an official hardcopy of the certificate in Arabic or English needs to be shown. SMS or digital certificates are not accepted.
• Passengers utilizing the Dubai connect service and have made bookings for hotels outside Dubai airport need to present an attested negative COVID19 PCR test certificate which has to be taken within 96 hours before departure.

• Passengers must perform 2 COVID19 PCR tests:
  a. 96 hours before departure
  b. Upon arrival at Dubai International airport

Test exemptions:

Children below 12 years and passengers with severe or moderate disabilities are excused from taking this test. There may be specific test exemptions in your country of origin and final destination. Please check the requirements before you travel.

When you arrive

• If you are required to take another COVID19 PCR test on arrival at the airport, you should stay in your residence or hotel until the results are given.
• In case of a Positive COVID19 test result, you should follow all regulations laid by the Dubai Health Authority and quarantine.
