1. Overview
Go for a private desert safari to explore the beautiful Arabian night sky. On top of it, you get to learn about the astronomy of the night sky. The tour starts by your boarding a private 1950s Land Rover to explore the desert in the dark and then afterward you take a nocturnal eco-walk.
2. Tour Highlights
Conservation guides will be with you all through your tour and will be educating you more about the desert nightlife and also give you the tips to navigate the desert at night. After you are done with your safari, you will go to the Royal Desert Grounds camp where there will be other guests.
Join the other and smoke flavored shisha, relax and also enjoy a sumptuous three course dinner serving Emirati delicacies.
When you are done with your meal, our guides take you on an astronomical journey where they will tell you stories about the starry Arabian sky and how the Bedouin people used the stars to find their way in the desert.
If you want to extend your night in the desert, you can choose a traditional overnight experience. Spend the night in Arabian styled stone dwelling rooms. The experience also includes a delicious breakfast.
You may also elevate your experience by going for a sunrise hot air balloon ride after waking up in the desert. After the ride, we will take you back to the Heritage Camp where you will be served your breakfast.

The journey starts when you get picked up by our team in a 4x4 vehicle from your residence in Dubai.2
The team will drive you to Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve.3
After that you will go for an hour-long nature safari in a vintage Land Rover.4
You will be given a torch to go for a nocturnal eco-walk where you will try to spot creatures like scorpions and sandfish among others.5
Join other guests at the camp. You will be welcomed with a cup of coffee and dates, to represent the Arabic hospitality.6

Get absorbed in an astronomy session by viewing the night sky with a telescope that we will provide you with. In case the stars are not fully visible because of clouds and weather at that time, our guides will offer you an informative astronomy talk.8
We will then take you back to your residence in Dubai between 10:00 pm and 11:30 pm depending on the season.9
If you decide to stay for the night at the camp, you will sleep in the traditional Arabic stone dwelling rooms at the camp. The room has a comfortable bed, pillows, sheets and you are guaranteed a peaceful sleep away from the noise of the city.10

To make the most of your overnight stay in the desert, go for a sunrise hot air balloon ride. The balloon takes off site if just 15 minutes away from the Bedouin camp so you can go when you just wake up and come back to enjoy your breakfast.12

Meeting point : The Arabiers team will pick you up from Dubai between 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm in a private air-conditioned vehicle. When making your bookings, we will tell you the exact pickup time because it varies depending on the season.
Timings : Experience starts from around 5:00 pm to 6:30pm and ends around 10:00 pm to 11:30 pm
Duration : Normally takes around 5 hours

9. What You Need to Know
- A portion of the fee you pay for the Dubai safari package is contributed towards the local conservation in Dubai.
- You get private transportation but the activities at the camp are shared.
- Guests who are more than six months pregnant are discouraged from going for this tour.
- Lights at the camp are switched off at 11:00 pm and will be switched back on at 6:00 in the morning.
- The rooms at the camp are not air-conditioned and have no heaters so make sure you dress well for the night.
- The bathroom facilities are shared among all the guests and there are no showers there.
10. Cancellation Policy
Cancel a Dubai city trip 72 hours before the scheduled start time to get a full amount refund. You will not be refunded the amount paid if do not cancel you trip in time before the excursion begins.
11. Tips for an Enjoyable Tour
- If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please tell us when you are booking your tour so that we can make the necessary arrangements. We accommodate guests that are vegan, vegetarian, kosher-style and those who eat gluten-free foods.
- Carry a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen and put on comfortable clothes.
- If you are going for the safari during winter, please carry a jacket or a warm cover-up because the evenings may get cold.
- Book for the tour experience at least five hours before the scheduled start time.
- If you want to stay overnight at the camp, tell us early so that we can make the necessary arrangements for you.
