If the passport you carry is eligible for an on-arrival visa, upon entry into Sharjah or any other emirate, you simply get your on-arrival visa stamped in your passport.
Depending on the purpose of your stay, which will be asked of you at immigration, you will be granted a 30, 90, or 180 day visa, free of charge.
Indians holding a valid US Green Card or a UK/EU Residence visa, traveling to Sharjah, will receive a 14-day on-arrival visa which costs 120 AED approximately.
